Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management & Technology organized a National Seminar on “Growth of Rural Economy for a Resurgent India”, on 27th February, 2010, at Hotel Clarks Awadh, Lucknow. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Rajeev Dubey, President (HR & Corporate Services), Mahindra and Mahindra LTD, Mumbai. Other dignitaries included Dr. Sanjeev Srivastava, Vice Chairman, Board of Governors, LBSIMT, Anil Shastri, Former Union Minister and Chairman, Board of Governors, LBSIMT.
The seminar started with the welcome address by Dr. Sanjeev Srivastava, which was carried forward by the aspiring keynote address by Rajeev Dubey. Mr. Rajeev emphasized on the power of dreaming and the measures to fulfill them. He also enlightened the audience by talking about the leadership qualities and team management that entirely depends upon respect and trust. According to him, the students should move away from the paradigm of ‘Win-Loose’ and move towards a ‘Win-Win’ world. By quoting examples of Jesus Christ and Changez Khan, he inspired the students towards transforming the world by being true to their values.
Finally the moment arrived when Padmashree Pankaj Udhas was awarded with Lal Bahadur Shastri Award for Professional Excellence, 2010. He was more than overwhelmed on receiving the award and thanked everyone for the honor. Ghazal Maestro Pankaj Udhas narrated a short inspiring story of his life to motivate the students present in the audience. He concluded by singing one of his favorite songs, “Chithhi Aayi Hai”. The seminar ended with a standing ovation.
