The Closing Ceremony of Utkarsh-2010, a Techno-Cultural fest of Babu Banarasi Das Group of Educational Institutions, Lucknow took place on 21st February 2010. At the closing day several attractive events captured spectators’ attention. The Technical Model Exhibition display had some fantastic Architecture Models. Many athletic events were also organized. Spray painting, Clay modeling displayed creative skills of participants. The Cultural events, “speechless expressions” made a great impact, participants performed like professional actors. There was a beautiful presentation of Folk Dance and Dance Drama by the students. Dance drama depicted wonderful glimpses of Dashavtar of ‘Lord Krishna’. Mr. Shekhar Sharan bagged the title of Mr. UTKARSH-10 and Ms. Anvita Pandey was chosen as Ms. UTKARSH-10.
Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta, Hon’ble Chairman, BBDGEI was the Chief Guest and Major General M.A. Naik was the Guest of Honor. Chief Guest and Guest of Honor took the salute during the March Past. Hon’ble Chairman of BBDGEI Dr. AKHILESH Das Gupta delivered the Valedictory address. He congratulated the students who secured top ranks and Medals in UPTU. He reiterated that the overall mission of BBD Group is to provide World class education.
Guest of honor Major General M.A. Naik said that these students are the future of the country. He was impressed by the good show put up by the students Mr. R.K. Agarwal, Chief Executive Director BBDGEI, Mr. Satish Kumar Agarwal, Chief Advisor BBDGEI, Prof. A.K. Mittra, Director Administration & Coordination BBDGEI, Prof (Dr.) A.K. Jain, Director Engg. BBDNITM, Prof (Dr.) Prof (Dr.) A.N. Singh, Director Engg. NIEC, Prof. (Dr.) Laxman Sahoo, Director Computer Application, BBDNITM, Prof (Dr.) Shubhini Saraf, Director Pharmacy BBDNITM, Prof (Dr.) Shailendra Saraf, Director Pharmacy NIEC, Mr. Ghanshyam Pankaj, Media Advisor, BBDGEI, Prof. (Dr.) S.M.K. Rizvi along with senior officials, Head of the Departments were present Prizes were distributed by Hon’ble Chairman, BBDGEI and by the Guest of Honor. In the end of UTKARSH-2010 Prof. Sanjay Srivastava, Chief Convener Utkarsh-2010 requested the Hon’ble Chief Guest to declare the meet closed.
A ten thousand strong crowd comprising of students, alumni members, faculty members and parents witnessed this closing ceremony at the Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta stadium.
