"The ability to have positive social impacts is no longer restricted to a few wealthy business families. Each one of them can have an impact on the lives of people in our community", said Sharad Jaipuria, Chairman, Board of Governors, Jaipuria Institute of Management while addressing the students at the 14th Convocation of Jaipuria Institute of Management (JIM)Lucknow, which was held here on Saturday 22nd May 2010.
He also underlined India's long standing history and tradition of charity and the commitment to social goal at the same time. This year 314 students graduated from JIM after successfully completing their respective programmes.
T. Y. Prabhu, CMD, Oriental Bank Of Commerce was the Chief Guest at the function. JIM Director Prof. S Chakraborty welcomed the guests and presented highlights of the achievemnets of the institute during the academic session 2009-2010.Sharad Jaipuria presided over the function and handed over the Post Graduate Diploma honours to the graduating students.
The chief guest T. Y. Prabhu awarded medals to the meritorious students for their outstanding performance. In the PGDM Course, Jaya Harish Lalwani received the Chairman's Gold Medal. Nishtha Saxena received the Vice-Chairman's Silver medal and Gaurav Chandra received the Director's Bronze medal. In PGDM (Financial Services) Paromita Gupta and Varsha Mishra received the Chairman's Gold Medal and the Vice Chairman's silver medal respectively.In PGDM (Retail Management) Uzma Shahab and Priyanka Mishra received the Chairman's Gold Medal and the Vice - Chairman's silver medal respectively.
Prof. S Chakraborty highlighted the achievements made in 2009-10 academic year in terms of placement, organizing managerial seminars, workshops, curriculum activities and cultural programs.
